Warming fall lentil soup

Hey guys!

Here is my recipe from my delicious and warming bowl of lentil soup. This recipe has a little something for everyone. This time of year, our meridians and organs can get attacked by cold and dampness in our environment. This can lead to increase illness, fatigue, poor memory and energy, digestive sluggishnes, chills, aching muscles, and more.

The key ingredients in this soup is the cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, onion, clove, tumeric, garlic, and lentils. Incorporating large amounts of foods with the properties we are looking for is the key to having food successfully impact our health.

So, put on your cozy socks, and get ready to make a big steaming pot of soup to help warm you from the inside out!


1 TSP Cumin

1 TSP ground Cardamom

1/2 TSP ground clove

2 TSP ground c

2 TBSP turmeric

2 yellow onions

3 garlic cloves

3 tomato

3 cups of chicken broth

1 can coconut milk

1 1/2 cup of red lentils

3 cups of spinach

1. Dice onions and mince garlic, cook in olive oil until translucent. Then add spice mix

2. Add diced tomatoes, broth, and lentil. Boil for 5-10 minutes.

3. Reduce heat to low medium and add coconut milk, spinach. Simmer until spinach wilts.

4. Salt and pepper to taste. Feel free to serve with some toasted multi grain bread.

enjoy! The best part of this soup is the cozy spices just get better each day!

I sometimes increase the batch to have enough in the fridge for the whole week of lunches!
